Spencers 5th Birthday party

Here is big brother Isaac at the party!

He got this crazy talking bird. My mother was trying to ask it too many questions at a time and when she finally stopped talking it said "what do you want?" with attitude. It was sooo funny.

He really wanted a pirate of the Caribbean cake. It was really good cake with whipped cream frosting instead of that super sweet kind.

The boys had fun last weekend playing with playdough. Isaac made "cookies"!!!

The boys got their hair done up for the MI vs. MI State game. Go Blue! Close game but we won!!

This is Spencer holding his dog Callie. He loves this little stuffed animal and he takes it everywhere he goes. I have washed it a million times but he still loves it.

The boys and I made little S'more people ornaments for the tree. They had a great time doing it and it was fun for all of us to participate in. Below are all of the pieces that we used in a hige pile. This is how the boys "sort" out the pieces!!!!

Light the Night

The two girls in the front were doing a dance for the crowd. Everyone seemed to enjoy watching them. They did a good job.

Isaac and Nathan playing the the "Needle in the Haystack" game. We hid a bunch of toys and candy in the hay and the kids could go looking for stuff. We also had pumpkin bowling, hoola hoop toss and a record toss. The kids had so much fun running from game to game-lots of prizes and candy!!!!

One of my favorite parts of the night-THE FOOD! We had all kinds of food-candy apples, caramel apples, peanuts, cotton candy, bags of candy, popcorn and warm cider and donuts. The kids and adults had a good time. We had a couple hundred visitors and everyone was talking and having a good time with the music and snacks. This was a great experience to be involved with in our church. I hope that we have the opportunity to do it again next year!

Boys Halloween costumes

Well here are the boys in their Halloween costumes. They were so cute! We went to a "party" at a local store that my mother wanted to go to. It was pretty lame but the kids liked wearing their costumes out in public. I can't believe that it is already upon us. After that it looks like it will be full force Christmas according to how the stores have things set up. I am pretty much done shopping except for the little stocking stuffers. It is a good thing because I can hardly move these days!

Spencer Class photo!!!!

Here is Spencer's school photo. He did a good job smiling! He showed me a few hundred times when he had it taken what he looked like. His picture turned out just as good as Isaac's. I am happy with them this year. Sometimes the photographer doesnt take their time with the kids but theirs look good! I am totally not biased or anything!!!!

Isaac Class Photo

I can't believe that my "baby" my first born son is in the 2nd grade already. He brought home his class photo today and it looks so good! His eyes are so darn blue and they look really good with his shirt. He was so proud of this picture! More scrapbooking ammo!!!

We went to a friends birthday party at a bowling alley last weekend and the boys just loved bowling. Isaac actually scored over 100!!!! He did a great job. It was fun to watch the ball as it barely made it to the pins with Spencer!!!

The RV trip

Well this is a photo of some water falls up north in Michigan at a state park we went to. It was a long long walk to get there on a hot day-over a mile. Talk about fun-especially carrying two babies with you!!!



This photo is the boys playing at lego land in the Mall of America. They had a good time. They played there for a long while racing cars made from legos.

This is the "rig" we took. Crazy learning about how to set it up and hook up the electric without blowing a fuse!!! Very annoying.

Time to make some s'mores. I was excited about this night as well as we were able to enjoy s'mores by the campfire without rain.

A little ice cream treat at a campsite we stayed at. After this we went swimming as you can see by their attire.

Tom found the worlds largest bottle of Catsup on the map so we stopped by to see it on our way to the St. Louis arch. What you see is what you get. I probably would not go out of my way again to see it!!! LOLOLOL Gotta do some hokey stuff on a camping trip!

The boys took a tour of the arch. Grandma and I stayed behind as the cars that you ride in are very very small. I would have a panic attack half way up Im sure. They had fun though.

The Fair

The boys had fun throwing darts at the balloons and they each were able to break three balloons. I was impressed. The guy tried loading the dart in their right hand and I told him this might not be a good idea for him as they are left handed and aiming near him! He quickly agreed. They were so proud of themselves. Spencer kept saying "I'm a winner!" It was cute. They had a good time. It was only about 105 degrees out and I nearly died but they had fun.

The waterslide....

The neighbor kids that the boys play with got one of these waterslides and the kids have sooo much fun on it. It is really nice of them to share with all the area kids. They have a good time. The boys are really wanting one...still waiting for a late summer sale.

Trip to Mackinac Island.....

This is Arch rock and it is a beautiful view of the rock and Lake Huron behind it. It is so lovely. I loved the view! Isnt it great? The water is so blue and inviting....VERY cold but nice to look at!!!

We went into Wings of Mackinac and it is a butterfly conservatory. They have 500 butterflies in this little room and they land on you and you get to see them flying all over the place. It was really neat and the boys just loved having all of them really close.

I just love this little light house. It is called Round Island Lighthouse. It is so cute. I would love to be able to stop and see it one day.

Last weekend we took the boys up to Mackinac Island and they had a wonderful time. They were just amazed at the island for not having cars. They were so excited to have horses pull us around town.

The Boys Today

WEll the boys have been busy playing outside with their friends. They love playing in this Sponge Bob bounce house I got them a few years back. They really love having everyone to their house to play. I took this one last night after dinner. Little hams that they are. They were jumping AFTER dinner! LOL I was able to hang out with them all evening and it was

really wonderful. That is the reason I don't mind working nights....

Isaac wanted to take a photo of us and here it is-not bad if I do say so myself! Trying to teach the kids about good photo taking skills so that mommy can scrapbook everything! I really love to scrap book and I can't wait until summer when I can do it more. With school it is so hard to do anything. I love school and it is very stimulating to my mind but I need to have some fun too!!!

Easter Egg Hunt at Church-Last Week

What a difference a week can make! This was last week at the festival at church. They had all kinds of things for the kids to play on and a super huge egg hunt and it really looked like the kids were giant hoover vaccums or something the way they sucked up the eggs! They had fun and played the entire time the inflatables were out. We had fun and they got lots of candy!!!
